CII and Ministry of Textiles, Government of Tamil Nadu are organizing an International Conference on Technical Textiles

Technical Textiles are textile materials and products that are manufactured primarily for their performance and functional properties rather than for their aesthetic or decorative qualities. Technical Textiles employ nearly 60 lakh people and account for approximately 13% of India's total textile and apparel market, contributing 0.7% to India's GDP.

Agrotech, Buildtech, Clothtech, Geotech, Hometech, Indutech, Meditech, Mobiltech, Oekotech, Packtech, Protech, and Sportech are the 12 application segments of the technical textiles industry. By 2024, the sector is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12%, with a market size of around US$ 45 billion.

Tamil Nadu is a leading global player with significant reach and competitiveness, accounting for 50% of India's textile mills and complementary clusters of Knitting, Weaving, Spinning, and Dyeing.

With this background, CII in partnership with Ministry of Textiles and Department of Textiles, Government of Tamil Nadu is organizing an International Conference on Technical Textiles at Hotel Feathers, Manapakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu on 25-26 November 2022.

The Honorable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝘂 𝗠 𝗞 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻 will inaugurate the conference on 25th November morning.

Through domestic and international experts and thought leaders, the conference will discuss on key opportunities, challenges, growth potential, investment prospects and global trends. It will also aim to promote interest in Technical Textiles amongst the NextGen, Start-ups and MSMES.
