SIMA – AN AUGUST BODY:Established in 1933 at the initiative of 1st Finance Minister of Independent India, Late Sir R.K. Shanmukham Chetty representing the entire textile value chain in South India. Started with 11 members; now has over 500 members.
The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA) representing the organised textile industry in South India is organising an exhibition “TEXFAIR” for all textile machinery, accessories and spares manufacturer at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex, Coimbatore. SIMAhas sofar successfully conducted nine Exhibitions since 2001. The previous fairs had overwhelming response both fromsuppliers and users and the suppliers were highly benefited by identifying new mill and the users were also able to find many alternatives for the supply of textile products.Today, SIMA is the single largest employers’organization representing the organized textile industry in the world and the only employer organization of the textile industryhaving in-house expertise to advice right from designing the textile project to marketing.To bring the entire textile value chain across the nation right from cotton farmers, cotton seed producers, synthetic fibre manufacturers to finished product manufacturers under roof and showcase their products, innovations and talents.To provide an opportunity to all the stakeholders of the textile and clothing industry to meet on a common platform.
