India Carpet Expo, Bhadohi

It is held bi-annually with a view to showcase the Cultural Heritage of Indian Handmade Carpets & Other Floor Coverings and Promote the Weaving Skills of Indian Weavers to the visiting overseas carpet buyers.
The 1st India Carpet Expo was organized in the year of 2001 and in this series total 45 shows have been organizes till March 2023. Carpet Export Promotion Council organized this fair twice in a year.The fair is sponsored by Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Every year approx. 300 exhibitors display their exclusive Handmade Carpets mainly from Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Panipat, Jammu & Kashmir, Jaipur, Bikaner area.India Carpet Expo is a B-2-B event solely focused on overseas buyers. Carpet Export Promotion Council invite overseas buyer from all over the world. In last fair approx. 400 buyers registered themselves and visited.CEPC offers attractive complementary packages to the selected buyers from approved countries as per the norms of Government of India.
Indian Carpets are renowned all over the world for their exquisite designs, subtle elegance, attractive colours and workmanship. Hand-knotted Woollen Carpets from India speak eloquently of the superb workmanship. India produces all types of qualities with specific designs; colours and sizes as per requirement of world market and have an edge to produce carpets according to the specification of buyer with timely delivery schedule. The art of weaving carpet has percolated down through generations and the Indian craftsmen have been creating the greatest of specimen since the medieval period.
